This ritual is the ritual of the C.B.C.S. in Latin and French. It is taken from manuscript BML Ms 5920-4. Initially, the rituals were in Latin. They had to be translated. Simple sentences were not a problem, but 15-line texts were more so.

Over time, some translations have been modified, and this is a Franco-Latin version with translation of the parts that are in Latin, knowing that the Latin texts are necessarily older than the French texts. German knights knew Latin well, as they often came from the nobility. In France, it was much less obvious. The rule of the C.B.C.S. is in Latin and French.

There are also modifications to the hat, which was transformed into a toque in the 2nd century. The knight's original attire consisted of a toque and a chlamys, but in the 20th century, this was transformed into a single garment that served both purposes. The knight's mantle should only be worn for receptions at a prefectural chapter, but not at a commandery.
