The best day of the year

For sixty years, Nora Sullivan has organized a big party every January to gather a circle of loyal friends at her beautiful Irish hotel in Castlehill. Among them are Clemency, a once brilliant novelist, and her daughter Henrietta, who have a sometimes strained relationship; Martin, a former doctor, and his wife Eleonore; Tom, who is a widower; and Barbara, marked by the absence of her son Luke.

All these people arrive at the hotel and will cross paths during this week of reunion. The discovery of a few family secrets will push each of them to reflect on their own lives and to question their relationships.
