THE APOCALYPSE, or the Gospel of Jesus Christ glorified and the history of his Church until the end of time

The great purpose of the Apocalypse, its main goal, is to console, strengthen the Church, and animate the faith and hope of its children for all future ages, by showing it, throughout the centuries, the struggles and persecutions it must endure from all sides, and the victories it must achieve from Caiaphas and Nero to the Antichrist, from the death and resurrection of its divine Spouse to his last and glorious advent, where he will associate with the honor of his triumphs all those who have believed in him, loved and served him, and where he will admit them into the joys and inexhaustible delights of the heavenly Jerusalem.

In his Revelation, the Holy Spirit lifts, so to speak, all the veils of the future and shows us all events as if unveiled, with their circumstances, their eras, and their great characteristics, so that one can recognize in all times his omniscience that knows them, his hand that guides them, his will that allows them for his greater glory, for the perfection of his Church and the sanctification of his elect, and for the manifestation of his terrible justice upon the wicked: "Ut cum venerit hora eorum, reminiscamini quia ego dixi vobis." (John, xvi, 4.)
