Thea Mottram has just been fired without notice. And, as bad news never comes alone, her unfaithful husband leaves her for one of her friends after twenty years of marriage.
The day she moves out, he hands her a letter recently received: Thea is the sole heir of a great-uncle, who leaves her a house in Scotland and a large collection of old books. Suddenly, heading to a small coastal town where no one knows her seems like the best idea!
