Discover Art Nouveau in Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, and London.

From 1890 to 1910, an artistic movement developed throughout Europe: it was called Art Nouveau in France and Belgium, Modernisme in Spain, and Modern Style in Great Britain.
Artists advocated for a return to artisanal production methods and the blending of "noble" arts (painting, sculpture) and "minor" arts (decorative art).

Seeking global coherence between the artwork, its use, and its exhibition location, they drew inspiration from nature, reproducing fluid and organic lines, and utilized technologies and materials newly developed by industry. Architecture, painting, furniture, graphic design, and jewelry are presented in the book, as are the greatest figures of this movement: Henry Van de Velde, Antoni Gaudi, Hector Guimard, Mucha.
