Ancient Israeli and African Wisdom Traditions (French Edition)

This monograph examines the relationship between two particular sets of wisdom traditions: ancient Israelite wisdom tradition and African wisdom traditions. The working hypothesis of this monograph is that there are literary and thematic similarities between these two sets of wisdom traditions.

These supposed similarities raise epistemological and theological questions that this monograph explores not necessarily to provide definitive answers, but to stimulate critical thinking in biblical studies—a critical thinking that, hopefully, should be geared toward engaging in meaningful interfaith dialogues and bearing witness to biblical faith.
