Living Today: A Spirituality of Connection
Myriam CHAMANDWe live in a fast-paced world, sometimes too fast.
A world where we are asked to be everywhere, all the time, without ever being asked how we really are. And yet, in the midst of this turmoil, one truth remains: we can only live fully by inhabiting our own presence.
Today's spirituality is no longer a distant mountain or a ritual reserved only for the initiated:
- It begins with a simple gesture: finding oneself again. - Listening to what is happening inside. - Recognizing our emotions, our limits, our impulses. It is in this silent intimacy that peace is born — a peace that depends on nothing external.
But living spiritually does not mean withdrawing from the world; on the contrary, it means learning to walk through life with a gentler, more open, more authentic consciousness.
With our friends, it becomes the ability to be present, truly present.
- To listen without wanting to fix.
- To love without wanting to possess.
- To let the other be who they are, without masks.
With our families, it is accepting that everyone carries their wounds, their stories, their ways of loving.
- It is offering the patience we would have liked to receive.
- It is understanding that tenderness is sometimes a more powerful language than words.
With our neighbors, colleagues, strangers encountered in the street, spirituality takes the form of a smile, a glance, a simple gesture that says:
"I see you. You exist. We share this moment."
The best way to achieve this is not a method, nor a rigid discipline.
It's an attitude. A way of being in the world.
✨To be rooted in oneself, but open to others.
✨To be lucid, but gentle.
✨To be true, even when it's fragile.
✨To be at peace, not because everything is going well, but because you choose peace.
To live spiritually today is to understand that every relationship — with oneself, with others, with life — is a sacred space.
A place where one can sow gentleness, understanding, light.
And perhaps modern spirituality, ultimately, is nothing more than this:
a way of loving.
